To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die …………………………………………
The volunteer Bereavement Committee members, Maureen Jeffries and Sue Inkster, expresses the Parish’s sympathy by offering support at the time of a death and providing assistance to the Family with the grief associated with this experience. The committee members have a spiritual gift of ministry to the grieving family in helping them with what seems like overwhelming decisions. They may be helpful in coordinating with the Funeral Home regarding visitations and with the Funeral Director regarding the service. They will also assist in the contacts with the Cemetery Caretaker, the Choir, the Readers, the Pall Bearers, the Parish Priest and Reception Organizers.
Our local Native Communities of St. Mary’s, Kingsclear and Oromocto are Welcome at St. Anthony’s with their traditions and Spiritual Leader participating in the Funeral Service with Drumming, Singing and Sweet Grass.
